Arrive Germany: Berlin
   
Arrive at Berlin Airport (approx. 11:00 a.m.), where you meet your Tour Manager and proceed for lunch. Later we proceed on a guided tour of Berlin with our expert local guide. The highlights of East and West are featured on your tour: see the famous Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden Boulevard, the Reichstag – seat of the German Parliament, Victory Column, State Opera, the picturesque historic quarter of St. Nicholas and the Potsdamer Platz area, which is the modern heart of Berlin. You also stop for photos at the remains of the Berlin Wall and Check-point Charlie. Visit Alexander Platz, where you will see the World Time Clock. You will also have some free time for shopping for souvenirs. Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Germany: Berlin - Poland: Warsaw
   
After breakfast you depart for Warsaw which was completely rebuilt after the near-total destruction of the city during World War II. The symbol of the capital’s rebirth was an unprecedented post-war re-creation of the Old Town, which in 1980 was put on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, as an example of a nearly complete reconstruction of the original settlement using original town plans and architecture. On arrival you embark on a guided panoramic tour of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Along the Royal route, see the Grand Theatre and Opera House, Tomb of Unknown Soldier, the Ghetto Memorial and the University of Warsaw. Also see the Old Town with the Royal Castle and the Column of King Sigismund III Vasa in the Castle Square (photo-stop). Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

 Poland: Warsaw - Krakow
   
This morning you depart for Krakow, the former capital of Poland. The historic centre of Krakow is situated at the foot of the Royal Wawel Castle and the medieval Old Town is among the first sites chosen for the UNESCO's original World Heritage List. On arrival proceed on a guided city tour to see all the major attractions such as: Barbican and defensive walls with Florian’s Gate and Wawel Hill with the Royal Castle and the Wawel Cathedral (photo-stop). You also visit the Main Market Square which dates back to the 13th century and at roughly 40,000 square metres  is one of the largest medieval town squares in Europe. Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 4:  Poland: Krakow – Auschwitz – Czech Republic: Prague
   
This morning you depart for Auschwitz where you will visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration and Extermination Camp Museum - the Camp was established by the Nazis in 1940a symbol of terror, genocide and the Holocaust. Continue to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, and check-in at your hotel for a two-night stay.

Note: In case the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration and Extermination Camp Museum is closed due to unforeseen events, the visit will be replaced by a visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
 

 
 
 
Czech Republic: Prague
   
Today meet your expert local guide for a guided tour taking you to the Hradcany Castle: walk through the Castle’s courtyards before visiting the St. Vitus Cathedral. Proceed down the Golden Lane lined with historic buildings and enjoy a panoramic view of this majestic city from the Castle gallery. You then proceed to the picturesque Lesser Town (Mala Strana) - see the beautiful Church of St. Nicholas and the magnificent Charles Bridge over the Vltava River. Continue to the Old Town to see the Astronomical Clock, New Town and Wenceslas Square. Later you have some free time to shop for bargains in Bohemian crystal. This evening, enjoy a local folklore shown with dinner and unlimited wine or beer or soft drinks.

Czech Republic: Prague - Austria: Vienna
   
This morning you depart for Vienna the capital and largest city of Austria. On arrival, meet your expert local guide and proceed on your guided panoramic tour of Vienna which features the monuments and palaces of this musical city. You drive past the main highlights: Belvedere Palaces, Schloss Schönbrunn, State Opera House, the Hofburg Palace – winter residence of the Habsburgs, the Parliament Buildings and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Later you have some free time at Kärtner Strasse – a pedestrianised shopping street (duration is time permitting). Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Austria: Vienna - Slovak Republic: Bratislava - Hungary: Budapest
   
This morning you visit the sumptuous baroque palace: Schloss Schönbrunn, with its numerous rooms of imperial splendour and classically landscaped gardens. You then depart from Vienna for Bratislava, the capital of the young Slovak Republic. On arrival, enjoy some free time in the Old Town: you can see St. Michael's Tower, 'Maximiliánova fontána', a renaissance fountain in the Main Square, and the statues of Schöne Náci and Man at Work - Čumil. Later continue your drive to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, formed by merging the residential Buda and historic Obuda on the west bank of the Danube with the industrial Pest on the east. After dinner enjoy an evening cruise on the River Danube. Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Hungary: Budapest - Return flight home
   
After breakfast depart for your morning tour of Budapest, one of the the world’s most beautiful capital cities and referred to as the “Pearl of the Danube”. Enjoy a great view of the Parliament building and the Chain Bridge from Castle Hill. See the buildings of Castle Hill: the neo-Gothic Matthias Church surrounded by quaintly restored medieval homes on cobblestone streets and the imposing Royal Palace. You will also see the elegant St. Stephen’s Basilica, as well as the sprawling Heroes’ Square, bordered by, the neo-classical Museum of Fine Arts. At the end of the tour (approx. 16:00 p.m.), you are transferred to the airport for your flight back home. The tour ends, and it is time to say farewell to all the friends you have made on tour.
